Alamitos Bay Yacht Club will be hosting the next in a series of Racing Rules talks to further the understanding of the Racing Rules of Sailing and to teach those rules to sailors of all levels. Mark Townsend, International Race Officer, National Judge and Regional Umpire will lead the discussion. A basic understanding of the right-of-way rules as well as some racing experience will be assumed. All ages are welcome.
There is no admission fee. Dinner and snacks will be available from 6pm.

Join your Host, Senior Sabot and Keelboat Fleets for a special presentation about the role of ABYC and volunteers for the Special Olympics World Games.
ABYC and other organizations will be participating in the Sailing events for the Special Olympics July 24th- August 2nd. This evening's talk will enlighten us about the event, volunteer requirements and how ABYC will be involved.

The Bar will open at 5:30 p.m. An Enchilada & Taco Bar, Salad & Dessert. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is $12.00 in advance or at the door.

Laser & Radial Clinic and racing on the Bay:
Saturday January 24th
Come early for guidance and pointers on rigging, set-up and racing from your fellow Laser & Radial racers beginning at 9:00 a.m. Racing begins at Noon. We plan on several short races depending on the conditions. All Laser & Radial sailors are welcome.
Entry fee, $10.00 to cover whaler rental and gas.
